If you’re a neurodivergent (ND) adult (autistic, ADHD, or both) living with chronic illness or autoimmune conditions, you deserve a space where you don’t have to over‑explain, mask, or minimise what daily life actually costs. Conversations in Colour is that space: calm, non‑clinical, and grounded in lived experience. Our focus is simple and human—clear, validating conversations that help you feel understood, organise your thoughts, and leave with practical next steps.
Who I am (and why that helps you)
I’m Amrit, founder of Conversations in Colour (CiC). I’ve lived the ND + chronic illness overlap myself, and I bring that perspective into every session—compassion first, no judgement, and no pressure to “perform”. Outside CiC, I also coordinate a Neurodivergence Group for a large national UK law firm (circa 3,500 employees), arranging support and guidance that actually lands in busy, real‑world workplaces. I’m additionally a member of the National Autistic Society and the National Axial Spondyloarthritis Society—communities that keep me connected to current needs and good practice.
On the CiC website, you’ll see this ethos reflected in our core promise: “Peer conversations for neurodivergent adults living with autoimmune diseases”—supportive, non‑clinical, human.
What a 1:1 with me gives you
A genuinely ND‑affirming space
Bring the truth of your days—good, hard, and everything in between. We can unpick masking, sensory overwhelm, fatigue, flare planning, pacing, identity, work, and the life admin that stacks up when energy is limited. You set the pace and the priorities.
Practical clarity you can use
Together we’ll translate what you’re living into plain‑English insights and small, doable steps—whether that’s adjusting your week to protect energy, scripting a difficult conversation at work, or making a flare day plan you’ll actually follow.
Lived experience + safeguards
My approach is deliberately non‑clinical. When clinical needs surface, I’ll signpost appropriate services. This boundary keeps the space safe, honest and complementary to any healthcare you receive.

This transparency is deliberate. You’ll see the same tone throughout CiC—warm, plain‑English, validating—so you always know what you’ll (and won’t) get.
Why book CiC (vs. generic coaching or clinical spaces)?
Built for the ND + chronic illness/Fibromyalgia pain overlap
Many services treat neurodivergence and physical health as separate worlds. Life isn’t that neat—especially with pain, fatigue, inflammation, dysautonomia, sensory load and executive‑function demands interacting every day. CiC was designed for that reality from day one.
Language that fits your brain and body
We use language and structures that feel accessible on low‑spoon days: short questions, gentle pacing, and “good day / hard day” framing that captures reality without shame. You’ll find that same tone echoed across articles on the CiC site.
Clarity you can carry into the rest of your life
Clients tell me the biggest relief is having words for what’s been hard to explain—at work, with family, or in appointments. CiC sessions give you that language: clear, non‑dramatic, and honest.
Is a CiC 1:1 right for you?
Choose CiC if you want to:
- Be listened to by someone who gets ND + chronic illness intersections
- Reduce masking and decision fatigue with small, workable routines
- Prepare for flare days without self‑blame
- Rehearse or script tricky conversations (employer, clinician, family)
- Turn noisy overwhelm into two or three next steps you can actually take
If you’re seeking diagnosis, therapy or medical treatment, CiC isn’t the right service—but I will help prepare you and signpost you to clinical routes and urgent support if needed.
What it feels like to work with me
People often say: “I didn’t have to justify myself,” “I finally have words for this,” and “I know exactly what to try next, and what can wait.” That’s the goal—a session where you leave lighter, clearer, and kinder to yourself. The wider CiC content mirrors this approach—quietly practical, evidence‑aware, and grounded in lived experience rather than buzzwords.

A final word
You don’t need to prove anything here. You don’t need the “right words”. You simply need a space that meets you where you are. If you’re ready for a gentle, human conversation that respects both your neurodivergent rhythms and your body’s limits—and helps you move forward with confidence—I’d love to meet you in a 1:1.
